HERSHEY, PA. — The Hershey Co. is investing $90 million to put in two high-tech manufacturing strains in its manufacturing plant in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The growth is predicted to extend output by 25% and can generate 300 new jobs on the plant. Hershey at the moment employs 2,500 on the plant.
Governor Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda of Nuevo Leon mentioned the growth seemingly will make the Nuevo Leon plant the third largest in Hershey’s system. Future plans might push the plant as much as the No. 2 place, he added.
Hershey makes 311 merchandise by way of 14 molding and packaging strains on the Nuevo Leon plant. The corporate primarily exports merchandise from the location to the US and Canada. Source
