Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the stems and remove any yellowed outer leaves from the Brussels sprouts. Halve each sprout. Rinse and pat dry.
  3. In a mixing bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Drizzle with honey and balsamic vinegar (if using), and toss to coat evenly.  
  4. Arrange the Brussels sprouts cut-side down in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Roast for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and golden brown with crispy edges.
  6. Optional: Drizzle with extra honey or balsamic vinegar after roasting. Garnish with desired toppings.

Notes

  • Using fresh Brussels sprouts is recommended for the best texture and flavor. If using frozen, thaw them completely and pat them dry.  
  • Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet to prevent steaming.
  • For extra crispiness, you can broil the Brussels sprouts for the last minute or two of cooking, watching carefully to prevent burning.  
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in an airtight container. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
